After all, living in Spain, I’ve spent a ton of time in Barcelona, much of which was thanks to the (generally pretty good!) Spanish train system. And this includes several times when I’ve come with bags in tow – so I know just what you need to do to store these securely and start enjoying your trip!
Luggage Storage at Barcelona Sants Station
If you’re heading into Barcelona via the Sants station and are wondering where to stash your luggage, you’re in luck. Barcelona Sants offers a super handy and efficient luggage storage solution right within the station building.
In fact, this is probably one of the most convenient luggage storage options in Barcelona, especially as it’s not overly tricky to locate. Once inside the Sants station, simply look for signs pointing towards ‘left luggage’ or ‘Consigna’.
You’ll need to head downstairs, roughly in the direction of the car park area. And if you’re hungry or need a landmark? It’s near the McDonald’s. A quick bite and then offload that heavy suitcase!
Getting to the Station
The metro is easily one of the best ways to get around Barcelona. In line with that, this station is accessible via metro lines L3 and L5. Just hop off at the “Sants Estació” stop.

No, Barcelona Sants doesn’t offer traditional self-service lockers for luggage storage. Instead, the station provides a manned luggage storage service, where staff personally handle and secure your belongings. This service ensures a more personalized and efficient luggage storage experience.
In a bustling station like Barcelona Sants, this efficient system ensures a smoother, more stress-free travel experience. So, while there aren’t traditional lockers available, the manned luggage storage service more than makes up for it with its convenience and reliability.
Other Barcelona Sants luggage storage options
If you’d rather check out some other options for luggage storage at Barcelona Sants (or nearby!), there are some on offer.
Now, full disclosure, I haven’t tried these options personally. I found them online and they all have a LOT of (mostly positive) reviews, so they seem legit. As always though, it’s up to you whether you choose to go ahead with using one of these services,
Stow Your Bags
If you’d prefer to store your luggage in a locker near Barcelona Sants, then Stow Your Bags is going to be a better choice for you. It’s only a 3-minute walk from Barcelona Sants station at Carrer de Béjar 79 and is open every day from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
You can book a locker online here or do it when you arrive – but just remember they only take credit cards.
Their lockers come in two sizes: Standard for 2 bags, and Maxi for up to 4 cabin-sized bags. Prices start from €2.49 per locker.
And just in case you’re worried about safety, they’ve got 24-hour surveillance and insure each bag up to €500. Sweet deal, right?
Getting there: From the station, exit at “Plaça dels Països Catalans”. Take a right onto Carrer del Rector Triadò. The second street on the right is Carrer de l’Elisi. A few meters on, turn left onto Carrer de Béjar, and voilà, number 79 is where you’ll find them.
Bounce
Bounce is a bigger company for luggage storage, with spots in 2,000 cities worldwide. Near Barcelona Sants, they’ve got locations where you can store your bags for €4.75 a day.
Booking’s easy – you can do it online or through their app. Once you book, they provide protection for your stuff, up to $10,000. Then you just drop off your bags at a store and enjoy Barcelona!
From there, simply roam around Barcelona, and pick up your stuff later using your booking confirmation. It’s super easy.
Locker Barcelona
If you’re closer to Plaça de Catalunya, Locker Barcelona at Carrer Estruc, 36 might be a good bet. It’s in the heart of the tourist and shopping district, so the location is very convenient – as are their opening hours given that they operate almost every day of the year from 8:30am to 9:30pm.
Their lockers have various sizes with medium ones at €4.50, large at €8.50, and extra-large ones at €14.50. However, if you book online, you’ll usually get a 10% discount off those prices.
If you’ve got bigger stuff like a bike, guitar or even a surfboard, they’ve got space for those too! Their payment methods include cash and cards, but there are some limitations.
Pick up is also very easy. You set your own password for the locker, ensuring that your stuff is safe and no need to worry about a key or anything like that.
Luggage Hero
LuggageHero is another option I found for luggage storage at Barcelona Sants. How it works is that you book in advance then leave your luggage at their partner stores – things like hotels, cafes and kiosks – letting you roam Barcelona without those bags dragging you down.
They’ve got some locations near Sants Station and their rates start at €0.95 an hour. They boast both hourly and daily rates, making it super flexible for your plans.
Once you book, they send you all the details you need, from the address to the directions. And they have a good feature where you start and stop a storage timer on your booking page, and your bags are insured up to €2,500 during that time.
Plus, if you’re planning on a longer stay, they’ve got lower daily rates for multi-day storage.
