When you want to be a stone’s throw (well, technically, it’s about 325 ft (100m) which isn’t far at all) from Barcelona’s trendy Born area, Hotel Santa Marta is your go-to. Plus, França Train Station is just a tiny walk away. 

The location is perfect, staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good quality and plenty of choice.

16. Hotel del Mar

The Hotel del Mar doesn’t only have a super cool name that makes you feel like you’re in a Spanish telenovela, but it’s also just 800 meters (2,620 feet) from the seafront. Talk about beach vibes! 

 Hotel location was brilliant, close to everthing and the cleanliness was fantastic. The staff were very helpful and polite.

Fancy staying in a quieter part of Barcelona, but still want the hustle and bustle within reach? Say hello to Aparthotel Bertrán. 

A mere 5-minute walk and you’re at Avinguda Tibidabo FGC Station and Vallcarca Metro. Now that’s what I call handy! 

The hotel location was very good and easy to reach from 2 subway lines. The room was big and nice, with small kitchen facilities.

18. Sercotel Caspe

Next up is the Sercotel Caspe. If you’re looking for a spot that’s just a short walk from Barcelona’s coolest attractions, like Gaudí’s masterpieces on Passeig de Gràcia, then this is your joint. 

 The location of the hotel is great, within walking distance to many of the attractions we wanted to visit. The room was clean with a big bathroom, the beds were comfy.

Now, I’ve got to say, Apartamentos DV sound like they’re straight out of a fancy lifestyle magazine. And you’re not so far off, as here, you get an apartment overlooking a patio, fully equipped with everything you might need. 

The rooms were good and well equipped. the location was good with a lot of eateries, grocery shops, mobile shops, and transportation near by.

20. Barcelona Hotel Colonial

Ever wanted to time-travel to colonial times but with a modern twist? Look no further than the Barcelona Hotel Colonial. 

This sleek hotel sits in a stone building with a clock tower, right in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter. And guess what? It’s just a 10-minute stroll to Barcelona Cathedral and the sandy Barceloneta Beach. 

The location was perfect and the hotel staff were super helpful! The room is very spacious and the balcony is an added bonus!

What is the parking like in Barcelona?

Barcelona is a bustling city, and like many urban hubs, parking can be a tad tricky. On top of that, there’s limited parking time, usually ranging from 1 to 4 hours in the blue zones.

If you’re not too keen on moving your car every couple of hours, there are also underground car parks dotted around the city. They’re a tad more expensive but can save you a lot of headache. 

Just a heads up: August is a lot calmer since many locals take their holidays then, so you might find parking a smidge easier during this month.
